Uploading voice files to the GMR Medical Transcription Website

Please log on to the GMR Medical Transcription Website URL: www.gmrmedicaltranscription.com. On the Home page, click on the tab ‘upload voice files’. You will be taken to the page - screenshot below. This page gives you the option of choosing the turn around time for the voice files you intend to upload. The default is the longer turnaround of 24 hours. If you want the shorter turnaround of 4 to 6 hours, click on the other radio button. Please only upload files of the same turn around time in one session.

Please select the correct bar to upload files.

You will be taken to page – screenshot below. This is the ftp page.

Once you are there, please select the location of the file(s) you wish to upload i.e. drive A or drive C etc. Click on the selected folder to open and display the voice files. Please select voice file(s). More than one file can be uploaded in one session. To select multiple files, please press ‘Shift’ or ‘Ctrl’ key on your keyboard and select multiple files. Click on the ‘Upload’ button below the panel displaying the folders to actually start sending the voice files to our server.

Please only select voice files and not folders to be uploaded.

The process will display like the screen shot below. Once the process is completed, click on the bright green bar to ‘Confirm’.

You will be taken to the page – screenshot below. Please click on the blue rectangle reading ‘submit’.

You will be taken to the next page – screenshot below. This completes the upload process.

TIP:

  1. Please do NOT use any punctuation in the filenames, such as commas, apostrophes, question marks or quotation marks because our system does not recognize those characters and it will not allow you to fill out the details of your voice files or will leave out your filename. You MAY use spaces, dashes and underscores.

 

TROUBLESHOOTING

  2. Check your security levels and make certain that all four zones are set at the default level. You can find these by going to your Control Panel, Internet Options and check the top tab named “Security.” Check each zone and make certain each is set to the default level.
  3. When you upload a very long voice file or multiple voice files, and when you click "Please click here to confirm" button, the system may take you back to home page. This means our server has timed out. In such a case please log in again and click on “Upload Voice Files,” and then click on "Please click here to proceed". Finally click on "Please click here to confirm" and "send voice file" button.

“Any uploads after 6:00 p.m. CST Monday through Thursday will not be processed until the next business day.”

“Any uploads after 6:00 p.m. CST on Friday or over the weekend will not be processed until Monday morning unless prior arrangements are made by emailing shreekant@gmrtranscription.com
